Where is your office?
My office is in Central Boulder at this address:
2299 Pearl Street, #400-A
Boulder, CO 80302
What are your hours?
How much are your sessions?
I accept most forms of payment, including cash, check, credit card, and HSA card.
Do you take insurance?
Nope! Insurance companies have set up a system that requires mental health diagnoses, a finite number of sessions, and barriers to reimbursement. I’ve found that I can show up for my clients in more helpful ways when I’m not dealing with behind-the-scenes bureaucracy.
If your insurance provides out-of-network coverage, I am happy to provide you with a superbill for reimbursement!
What’s your cancellation policy?
Thanks for asking! I have a 24-hour cancellation policy, and I charge the full fee for late cancellations unless they are due to medical emergency or inclement weather.
What’s your training and experience?
I earned my master’s degree in somatic counseling psychology from Naropa University, a badass Buddhist-based school in the heart of Boulder.
Over the last few years, I’ve worked with Medicaid clients, women at a local women’s center, and the homeless at the Naropa Community Counseling Center. I’ve also worked with a high-trauma population at Innate Path, a clinic that offers ketamine- and cannabis-assisted psychotherapy.
What will I get out of therapy?
I’m going to help you better understand your issues, where they come from, and how you can work more effectively with them. My clients develop increased self-awareness, more freedom in how they handle difficult situations, and a stronger sense of self.
Consider this an investment in YOU, helping you reach your full potential and your best life.
How does it work? What do I have to do in session?
You just have to be you! For 55 minutes, we can talk (or not talk) about whatever you want!
Many clients bring in issues they’re facing in their relationships, careers, or life in general; and I help them explore their problems.
I might ask questions, point you toward your feelings, encourage you to notice your bodily sensations, or crack some jokes.
Will you think I’m crazy if I need therapy?
We’re all a little bit crazy! This world wouldn’t be fun if we weren’t. Honestly, I admire you for your willingness to get the help you need.
I’m not really mainstream… can you still work with me?
I love to work with people with alternative lifestyles! While I maintain a professional career, I engage in a lot of alternative ways of being, including going to Burning Man every year, living in my tent in the summer months, and occasionally moving into my car and doing some extended traveling.
How often do I see you?
As often as you’d like! I find that weekly sessions make for the most effective therapy, but I am open to tailoring our frequency to your particular needs.
Do I have to commit?
Absolutely not! Let’s start out with a complimentary 20-minute phone consultation. If it seems as though we might be a good fit, we can set up a one-hour intake session and take it from there!
Why did you become a therapist?
I’ve had a lifelong interest in becoming the best version of myself, and I feel deeply committed to helping others become the best versions of themselves. I love what I do, and I continue to feel excitement when I witness my clients overcome their obstacles and reach their full potential.
What if I have other questions or want to know more?
Great! Call me at (970) 673-0846 for a complimentary 20-minute phone consultation. Can’t wait to hear from you!
