So many people minimize their traumas by thinking that others have it worse. Truth is that we’ve all experienced varying degrees of trauma, which is defined as an overwhelm of the nervous system by a real or perceived threat. These events build upon each other and oftentimes cause symptoms such as anxiety and depression. The good news is that trauma can be processed through and resolved! Since trauma resides in the body as stuck nervous system energy, I use a body-based modality called Trauma Dynamics that works to process trauma through the body. If you’re interested in processing your traumas, we will work together to build a trusting therapeutic relationship. When it feels safe enough, we will begin trauma processing, listening to your nervous system to determine pace and depth. While it can be scary to face old traumas, when done right, it can feel safe and nourishing, and ultimately bring you immense freedom.
